喵喵一步 is an app where you hand in a little Japanese every day, and someone actually reads it.

What you can do in the app

Pronunciation

Read along with the model, then hand in your recording

Shadowing sentences come in 10 levels, from single words to 600 characters. Every sentence has model audio (male and female voices). Read along, and tick it off after 10 times. Hand in your recording, and the teacher tells you what to fix.

Writing

Hand it in, and see the red pen and the reason

There are 300 writing prompts, given in Japanese with Chinese underneath. Hand in what you write, and you'll see it before and after correction. Every correction comes with the reason.

面白い is an i-adjective, so the past tense is 面白かったです, not 面白いでした.

No need to wait for a prompt. Write what you want to say today, or what you need for work, and hand it in. You can record without a model sentence too: say your own sentence, and I'll help with the pronunciation.

App FAQ

Do I need to download an app?
No. Sign in with Google and open it in your browser, on a phone, tablet or computer.
What language is the app in?
The menus and explanations are in Traditional Chinese. The Japanese comes with furigana.
Is there a limit on corrections?
No. Hand in as much writing and as many recordings as you like. Replies come as written corrections (before and after) or as audio.
Can I use it offline?
No, you need an internet connection.
Will I be charged automatically?
No. I check with you on LINE once a month. You pay for a month, and that month is active. To stop, there's no need to cancel: just don't pay for the next month.
If I stop, what happens to the one-on-one lessons I bought?
Once you stop, you can no longer see the content in the app, but the one-on-one lessons you've already bought aren't affected. You can keep using them.
